Eggink Homes History
George and Betty Eggink of Eggink Homes Inc started building homes in the spring of 1974. In their 35 years of business they have had the privilege of building hundreds of new homes in various locations within Haldimand and Norfolk County. Their son, Tyler Eggink, joined the team in the fall of 2004, after completing the small business management course with honours. Tyler has gained experience in the construction industry by working with his father and a local cabinet maker.
Eggink Homes prides themselves on quality workmanship and personal relationships. When purchasing a home with them, no detail is too small. They are thankful for the personal relationships they have worked hard to develop over the years with their customers in every stage of the process - from the beginning of the design phase to the completion of your home.
In 2000 Eggink homes started building in Port Dover located off of Cockshutt Road. The first developments here, “Inglewood Estates” & “Westview Estates” is the site of 55 residential homes. In October 2005, Eggink Homes Inc. started is current construction project, "Silver Lake Estates". This development currently consists of 62 homes (21 in Phase I & 41 in Phase II) and in 2010, Phase III is now open and construction is well under way.
Eggink Homes pride themselves on large lot sizes and many of their lots back on to a wooded ravine. Model homes are located currently in Phase III and can be visisted Saturday’s and Sunday’s 2:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. or by appointment. Here you will find all of the designs and plans for their houses.
The Tarion Corporation has honoured Eggink Homes by awarding them with the highest rating available and has maintained that rating for 17 consecutive years. They have also been nominated for the Ernest Asslay Award, a coveted prize, for their after sales service record.
